Cribbs finally gets deal from Browns
Cleveland Browns standout Joshua Cribbs has finally been rewarded for his play, receiving a three-year contract worth $18.5 million from the team.
Cribbs had initially been very vocal that he wanted a new contract from the Browns and felt like his play was unappreciated by the organization.
He relaxed his stance much of last season, saying that he was just was going to take care of business on the field and felt that everything else would take care of itself.
He did make it well known that he was hopeful about the future of the franchise and wanted to stay a Cleveland Brown despite the team’s struggles for more than the past decade.
Mike Holmgren said Cribbs request for another contract was unusual given he had three years remaining, but he felt like the star had a good point and deserved the money.
